What is up all you coffee lovers, welcome back to The Local Medias. Earlier this week I discussed Circle Coffees posts covering its updated summer and fall menus. Today I'll be going over its Instagram reel announcing that Circle Coffee Co. is now "serving the neighborhood".

(Click here for the Instagram reel)

The reel starts off with someones unknown hand inserting a VHS tape into an old VHS tv that has a static screen. Once the VHS tape is inserted, the video switches to a montage of a bunch of photos. The photos show the timeline and huge growth of Circle Coffee Co. It starts off with photos of Circles coffee cart, the coffee cart traveling around a bunch of places, the start of Circles' new location, a bunch of community members during their soft opening, and then the start of its actual store. The montage ends and the reel cuts to the front door of Circle Coffees' new building. Jackie Vincent, one of Circles owners, walks up and opens the front door, and as she walks in the words "now open" pop up on the screen.

Now while this post is about the fact that Circle Coffee Co. is "now open", it is also an appreciation post. In the caption of the post, Circle said "To everyone who helped us get here, today is for you." That is one part that makes this post so good. Circle has always been about being there for the Topeka community, even while they were based out of a coffee cart. In the photo montage, Circle included those community members that Circle said helped them get to where they are. From the people who were there when Circle was just a cart, to the people that would have been there on opening day. Circle posted this to let them know they could not have done it without such a loving and supportive community. That is something unique that you don't always see other bug businesses doing.

Now Circle is really "serving the neighborhood". With awesome social media posts online. But more importantly, with good food, coffee, and employees that always seem to be enjoying themselves. Aaron Zentner (left) and Jaiden Roberts (right) are always serving customers with the biggest smiles.

Thank you all for stopping by another The Local Medias post. Go get some warm coffee for this cooler weather and I'll see yall again soon!

New to the Neighborhood

Hello everyone and welcome to “The Local Medias”! A blog discussing the ins and outs of the social media posts of a local coffee shop and how they advertise themselves using said social media in a unique way. Social media has become a very popular tool used to promote a company or business. Local businesses always seem to have a different vibe and more personalized feeling. Especially when it comes to how they advertise themselves. Here, I will be discussing and analyzing one of my favorite local coffee shops in Topeka Kansas, Circle Coffee Co. Circle Coffee has also been very prominent on its Facebook and Instagram accounts. They post new menu items, updates, and share posts from customers who visit.  Advertisements of businesses, specifically local companies, always intrigue me and catch my attention. This blog has two main goals. One is to spread awareness of local businesses and their personalized social media. Local companies like Circle Coffee deserve to be seen and appreciat...
